Pretty In Pink

It's no surprise that my favorite color is pink. All shades ranging from blush (hello?!) to hyper neon. While I do really enjoy so many beautiful colors, there's something about pink that makes me particularly happy. Flamingos, ice cream, cotton candy, lip gloss, glitter, my cheeks! It's my color!

Naturally, one would pair such a pastel color with warmer weather. But when Winter hits, I like to break out softer colors like white, blush, dove gray, camel, baby blue.....it's just pretty and airy and unexpected sometimes.

I had a night out with the girls this weekend and this is how I styled pink in January.

Fit-NESS!

This won't be one of those motivational/I love the gym blogs. Let me be clear: I HATE the gym. It is a necessary evil and I do it because it helps to counter my addiction to chocolate cake. Nothing more, nothing less. I have come to notice this trend of bright, colorful clothing and sneakers at the gym. The women come in perfectly dressed with matching sweat bands and bags and water bottles lookin' all cute at 5:30am.....and here I am in boring black on most days.  Well, no more! I told myself I too, would be snazzy and get my gym swag on also! I too, will one of those annoying, super matchy yet totally cute gym goers! For the New Year, I decided to step up my game and start to build my work out wardrobe.  New kicks, new pants, a few tops......my motivation is suddenly growing.....figures it would take some shopping to give me that spark! ;) What I love so much about all the color, is these aren't colors I can normally wear at work or very often in my every day life. I like that I can wear neon, off the wall prints and fun patterns without having to be conservative. In this instance, the brighter, the better!
